Hot Tub Removal in Edmonton

An old hot tub is one of the heaviest, most awkward things in a yard. We take it apart, carry it out and haul it away, and leave the pad or deck clean.

Hot tub removal and disposal in Edmonton and area

A hot tub weighs several hundred pounds empty, does not fit through a gate in one piece, and usually sits exactly where it was lowered in years ago. That is why it stays put long after it stops working. We bring the crew and the tools: the tub is cut into sections right where it sits, carried out piece by piece, and loaded on the truck. Shell, frame, cover, pump, heater and the skirting all go on the same trip.

Backyards with a narrow side gate, tubs sunk into a deck, tubs on a second-storey deck - send a photo of the whole setup and we will tell you what has to come up and what goes back. The old deck boards, the gazebo over it and the steps can come with us if you are done with them.

Whatever can be recycled is sorted out - the metal, the pump and motor, the wood frame - and the rest goes to a licensed disposal site. Nothing is left in the alley.

Before we arrive

  • Drain the tub before we arrive. A garden hose on the drain valve the night before does it; if it will not drain, tell us and we bring a pump.
  • Have the power disconnected at the breaker. If the tub is hard-wired, an electrician should cap the line - we do not do electrical work.
  • Clear the path from the tub to the street as much as you can. We handle the rest.

A price before we start. Confirmed on site. No surprise disposal fees.

Common questions

Do I need to drain the hot tub first?

Yes, please. Open the drain valve or run a garden hose siphon the night before. If it will not drain, let us know when you send the photos and we will bring a pump.

Does the power need to be disconnected?

Yes. Shut it off at the breaker. If the tub is hard-wired rather than plugged in, an electrician should disconnect and cap the line before we arrive.

Can you get a hot tub out of a backyard with a narrow gate?

Yes. We cut the tub into sections where it sits and carry the pieces out, so the gate width does not matter.

What if the hot tub is built into a deck?

Send a photo of the deck as well. Usually a few boards or a section of skirting come up to free the tub, and we can take the deck section with us or leave it for you to rebuild.

How much does hot tub removal cost in Edmonton?

It depends on the size of the tub, where it sits and what else is coming with it. Send a few photos and we will get right back to you with a price, confirmed on site before we start.
